We don’t just build buildings, we build people. From our apprentices and site foremen through to our company director, we are proud to employ long-serving and highly skilled staff. In a fast-moving industry, we offer continuity to clients who are making long-term decisions.

Our people

Maurice Clark

Founder and Director, ONZM

Maurice founded the group and is a director and major shareholder. He has 50 years’ experience in Wellington property and construction, acquired McKee Fehl Constructors in 1987, and has led the strengthening and restoration of some of Wellington’s best-known buildings, among them the 1908 Public Trust Building and Press Hall. He is an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to heritage preservation and the construction industry, and received the Property Council’s Wellington Laureate Award in 2016.

Jonathan Tomkins

Director and Chief Executive

Jonathan is a director and the group’s Chief Executive. A Chartered Accountant with a tax background, he spent around twenty years advising large public and private sector organisations before joining the group, where he first led finance for McKee Fehl and Cheops. He now leads the group’s property, construction and finance operations.

Megan Tomkins

General Manager, Group Services

Megan runs the group’s shared services: finance, people and the support functions that McKee Fehl, Cheops and the property companies all rely on.

Luke Feenstra

Chief Estimator

Luke leads estimating at McKee Fehl. He prices the group’s own strengthening, refurbishment and conversion projects, and tenders for work on clients’ buildings.
