Decisive and diverse, our talented team has worked on some of Wellington’s most iconic landmarks. From the Old Public Trust Building and Press Hall Precinct through to 15 Stout St and even the Beehive, McKee Fehl sits at the heart of Wellington’s architectural landscape.
Our maverick mindset is characterised by Maurice Clark who acquired McKee Fehl in 1987.
Like Maurice, we have a passion to enrich the architectural fabric of the city in which we live. Designers, engineers and builders by head and heart, we look at the world through different eyes and see an opportunity in every obstacle.
A disused and dilapidated building becomes an urban hospitality hotspot. A tired office block: a second home for students. A seismically vulnerable church: a trend-setting commercial office.
We’re proud to be local. We know how to make our city celebrate its culture and heritage.
Our sister company, Cheops Holdings Ltd, operates as a commercial property development and holdings company which specialises in restoring historic buildings across Wellington. Like McKee Fehl, Cheops has been owned and managed by Maurice Clark since 1987. McKee Fehl undertakes Cheops’ projects as its head contractor, overseeing all construction management services.
With unrivalled knowledge of Wellington’s property market and access to latest construction innovations we have transformed some of the city’s most iconic buildings.
Together we protect Wellington’s future by preserving its past.
