Today, Rt. Hon. Jacinda Ardern formally opened Public Trust Hall in The Public Trust Building at a grand ceremony.
Our celebratory event follows 11 months of extensive renovations to the basement and ground floor to create a modern and sophisticated venue in the heart of Wellington. These efforts follow our earlier strengthening and restoration programme which was completed in 2015.
“Preserving the heritage of Wellington’s finest buildings is crucial if we want to conserve and celebrate the city’s identity,” said building proprietor Maurice Clark.
Stephen Cummings, General Manager at McKee Fehl added, “The unique heritage nature of this project demanded a huge amount of team effort, collective problem-solving and perseverance. Thank you to everyone who went above and beyond to bring Wellington a first-class venue which will be perfect for hosting events, weddings and performances.”
Now available for hire, Public Trust Hall can meet a range of event requirements, including:
This project builds on McKee Fehl’s award-winning portfolio of heritage restoration projects including 15 Stout Street for Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment and the Press Hall precinct.
