We are excited to be utilizing façade panels from the recently demolished Bank of NZ (Harbour Quays) building for a connecting link bridge at the new Wellington Children’s Hospital. As part of the demolition of BNZ Harbour Quays, Thermosash undertook the removal of the facade panels and offered these to the project. We are pleased to be able to upcycle these high-quality glass prefabricated units as part of this project.
The reuse of existing and suitable building materials aligns with McKee Fehl’s sustainability goals and objectives for waste minimisation on our projects. We have worked with the Project team and Wellington City Council’s Urban Planning team to incorporate this generous gift of these units for the link bridge, which will create access between the Wellington Regional Hospital to the new Children’s Hospital.
