135 Victoria Street

The project at 135 Victoria Street, Wellington involved a comprehensive seismic upgrade and adaptive reuse of an existing 11‑level office building, formerly known as Eagle Technology House. Located in the heart of the Cuba Street Precinct, the building was constructed with a reinforced concrete frame and hollow‑core floor systems.

The strengthening works included the full strip‑out of existing fit‑out and services on all levels above the ground floor, followed by the installation of new structural steel elements beneath the existing slabs and within the topping slab. Alongside the seismic strengthening, the building was converted from commercial office use into residential apartments, providing a renewed purpose for the asset while significantly improving its seismic resilience and long‑term performance.
